- CrossFit Level 1 Certification
My fitness journey began in 2010 after my 2nd daughter was born. I struggled with postpartum depression and found that when I began training for the Bolder Boulder 10k, my mental health improved greatly. I developed a habit of jogging three mornings a week. While visiting family in Pueblo in July of 2012, my sister invited me to her gym for a workout. One workout with her fellow Devil Doggs and I was hooked on functional fitness! When we moved back to Pueblo a few months later, one of the first things I did was sign up for a membership at Devil Dogg.
When gyms all over the world shut down during the COVID pandemic, I recognized the true value of group fitness to my physical and mental well-being. I returned to Devil Dogg Strength and Conditioning after the shutdown was over with deeper gratitude and a new resolve to make the fitness of myself and others a greater priority in my life. In August of 2021, I became a Level 1 CrossFit Trainer.
I have been richly rewarded through the shared adversity of challenging group workouts and coaching my fellow Devil Doggs to meet their goals and become the athletes they want to be. Every interaction with the beautiful people who make up our gym family is a joy and a privilege and I am so grateful to be a part of what we offer at Devil Dogg Strength and Conditioning.
